What is it?
Nippers is a beach education program that introduces children aged 5 to 14 years to lifesaving. It is a great opportunity for kids to learn water safety, gain confidence, build community and improve their awareness of our beautiful natural environment in the bay.
The program is about children participating in safe, fun and organised activities in a beach environment; preparing them to be future lifesavers.
Are there any skills required?
The Nipper Education Program caters to all participants' experience and skill levels. The emphasis is on fun and education, regardless of development stages, to ensure positive and affirmative experiences.
It is important to recognise that young people have varying learning abilities that must be catered to throughout all programs.
